Aside from other more obvious definitions, pimping can also mean the following, which I found on www.doubletongued.org:

pimp

v. (by senior medical personnel) to badger a student doctor with medical questions (as a teaching method). Subjects: English, Medical, Slang

It's the clinical instructor asking the student questions in the clinical area, ie What's the difference in the duration of action of fentanyl compared to morphine?

Viewed more positively and when done with all the right intentions, it is the time honored Socratic Method of teaching by questioning

Hi, pimping seems like a socialization processing done by experienced CRNAs and Anesthesiologists. They just testing you to see what you know...sometimes they don't know the answers.
