What job is this?

A company that hires nurses to help determine how much longer a patient needs to safely get off a Rx when the insurance company won't pay for it, usually it's workmans comp claim, and is usually a narcotic?

Did you see an advertisement for this position? Why don't you ask them? Not sure what you are asking or what feedback you are expecting posting this on AllNurses. What concerns or questions do you have?

Why did I ask that question why are half the questions asked? That's what this person described their job as, and I didn't believe it was a real job?

I have an acquaintance who works with a (legit) chronic pain management physician practice. She does a lot of patient teaching and supervision of complex pain medication regimens - including transitioning from opioids. I guess it's sort of a Case Mgt job, but it's more than that.
