Good day:

My take on Evernote, as a user of Evernote since late last year, is free to low cost (the premium version is $49 per year) software available on multiple platforms (iPhone, iPad, MAC, Windows, Windows phone, Android) that allows you to organize, keep, easily search and find, notes.

I've attached a screen shot showing a snap shot of my notes.

Evernote is nice for several reasons:

  • I can add, edit, and update notes from my smart phone; Evernote then syncs to my desktop (and vice verse).
  • I can email Evernote emails which I want to organize in Evernote.
  • I can scan PDF files and images into Evernote for organization. Evernote works with a variety of attachments.
  • If there's a need, I can share notes or notebooks with selected others.

For school I use Evernote as a study aid to collect lecture notes, lab notes, as well as various 3rd party articles concerning the courses I'm taking. Any hand outs are scanned into Evernote as well.

When my wife and I went on vacation earlier in the year, I did all of the vacation planning as well as keeping a journal in Evernote using my smart phone.

Evernote just added a reminder system where you can set up reminders; and many people use it as a to do / check list system.

There's far more to it that you can find by checking it out as well as reading various reviews.

Thank you.

Wow, that is the best pitch I've ever heard... you'll have no problem getting your pt's to do what you need them to do! I didn't realize it did so much, it would be nice to be able to just scan images from my textbook right into my notes, no more hunting through the pages for that one image that explains what I'm trying to learn... I will be getting this now, it looks like I can use it with my iPad and iPhone, a +++! Thank you so much for your help, it means a lot to a girl like me!

It's a note-taking and voice-recording cloud (stored online) platform. I use it for most of my classes because I can access my notes anywhere.

I use the evernote app on my ipad (with a keyboard) and it works great. It allows my to share my notes with my classmates, too! The app also allows me to scan paper, so I scan most of my handouts in class.

Do you scan them or take a picture with your iPad and then they import to your note?? JW, didn't know if there was some crazy iPad scanner out there that I need to buy LOL

It's AMAZING! Love, love, love it! I just discovered it and have been retyping my notes on it! This will be so handy for nursing school:) I can see it on my iPhone, mac laptop...really anywhere you can get the app! You have to try this people!

I downloaded this today and I love it. I'm definitely going to use it to take notes and keep everything organized.
