What should I ask my advisor?

Next week I have a 30 min phone meeting with my advisor for MSN nursing informatics. What questions should I ask? How should I prepare for this meeting? I plan to go to school PT and work FT.

CUNY SPS: nursing informatics

location: New York, NY

Questions I prepared:

  • what classes should I take? 1 hard and 1 not as hard?
  • what software should I learn?
  • what other skill sets do I need?
  • when does clinical practicum start?
  • how and where do I find a preceptor?

is there anything I missed or should ask?

Thank you,

enarra

This may or may not be an advisor question because you might find the answer to this on your school's/program's website......but you may want to find out if you need a new or specific computer, software, etc..

Thanks for suggestions. I already read the student policy handbook and looked at curriculum listing courses needed. Yikes I hope I don’t have to buy a new computer!
