What about Emory?

Published

Does anyone have any personal knowledge about the Midwifery program at Emory. I've been looking through the previous posts and haven't seen any mention of this program.

BTW I am referring to the 2nd degree BSN/MSN Segue program

Thanks in advance

I myself have searched for anyone who's currently or a past graduate of their midwifery program but I've come up with nothing. I even emailed an individual 3-4mos ago who I believe stated that they were in the program and didnt get any response. She's probably very occupied. Until then keeping my fingers crossed. I really wish this forum was a bit more active. I guess I'll begin with myself and post more.

Thanks Lunise. I appreciate your help.

Here's a blog by a new midwifery student at Emory:

I work with a CNM who graduated from Emory's midwifery program. She is an excellent midwife and she said the program was very good and she does highly recommend it.

My gynecologist has as her main assistant a CNM that graduated from Emory. About half the time, when I make a routine appointment it's with the nurse midwife (and when you are pregnant, they deliberately schedule you to see the nurse midwife every other appt).

She's excellent, and she has had very nice things to say about the Emory program (I've talked to her about it, because I'm considering going there myself in a few years).
