I am thinking of changing my shift to evening hours because I have a deadbeat ex who doesn't pay support and I need the extra shift diff. I'm having a heck of a time finding childcare from 3-11, though and on weekends. I don't have any relatives in this town or anywhere else, so I can't pack my little girl up to grandma's. What do you mothers and fathers do if you have a shift that changes all the time and puts you on weekends and nights?

I won't be of any help to you, sorry. I have a wonderful daycare provider who is willing to watch my baby in the evenings if necessary, plus I have my mother and mother-in-law to help.....they take turns on the weekends that my husband and I work. I wish I could suggest something, but other than putting an ad in the paper, I can't think of anything. Are you in a college town where there might be a student of child development who might be willing to help?
