What is actually considered a violation of probation? Anyone ever violated probation with the BON other than drugs or alcohol? I guess I’m just venting. I have 2 things that might violate my probation and I’m wondering if I’ll get a warning or if they will kick me out and actually suspend my license. I have a wasted narc error back in Aug - it was reported on my employer report and I never heard anything from the board. Then just 2 weeks ago I got fired for excessive cell phone use while on duty and taking a sandwich off a residents tray - however she gave it to me and only wanted her cereal. I talked with my case manger from the BON and told her everything. Of course she don’t know what they will decide either. I was on probation for a year with nothing wrong on my reports - hope they will take that into consideration.
I called a nurse defense lawyer and he said it sounded like since I had a year with good reports that I might only get a letter of concern, but that if I they sent me a hearing date to hire a lawyer and not go alone. Thanks for listening.
