What to do after completing pre-reqs?

Talk to an advisor at your school. They probably could help show you your options.

What kind of grades do you have in your science classes? From my experience, science scores are weighed heavier than psych and English.

Do you have the flexibility to move? You might consider applying to out of state programs, or taking more transferable classes to boost your overall GPA. Many programs aren't taking out of state applicants, but it's worth a shot.

I would look at Renton Tech's Nursing Program. Here is what they say from their site:

"Meet prerequisite course requirements as shown below with the following requirements: 1)a minimum grade of 2.5 in each course (two (2) attempts per course only); 2) a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better; 3) courses must have been completed within ten (10) years prior to program"

I would also check out Shoreline since you have a lot of volunteer/paid experience. Their site says:

"Individual courses for entry into the program require a minimum grade of 2.0."

I don't think you are as screwed as you think you are. Not everyone will have an A in every class. Lake Washington requires a 3.0 in each class but they aren't nationally accredited. I would also check all the Seattle Community Colleges (NSCC, South Seattle, Seattle Central).

I don't know if you're looking in eastern Wa at all, but apply to Columbia Basin College in Tri-Cities...they don't get as many applications as the schools on the west side of the state and I think the minimum overall GPA is 2.5, min 2.5 for each class, so as long as you're science classes are good you will be fine. They go on the points system, TEAS and pre-req GPA, plus points for co-reqs. I am graduating from there in June and it is an excellent program. The instructors are amazing and I am so happy I applied to this school and got in even though I didn't know anything about it beforehand.
