It is now the shape of a chair seat and just as flat. Its starting to drip off the sides of the chair and when I stand it hits the back of my knees. I have gained 25 pounds (last count - I won't get on the scale until my preadmission physical next week - at which time I will get on backwards) since going back to school. I am fighting middle aged spread and the heinous effects of gravity as it is. Honestly, it isn't as much about vanity as it is being concerned about the toll nursing student lifestyle will have on my own health.
I know what it is - it is studying or schooling rather than exercising everyday (or hardly ever) it is snacking while studying, eating when stressed, eating when I am tired instead of getting the sleep I need, it is picking foods that aren't healthy for me or my family because they are convenient rather than nutritious. And that was just prereqs!
The non-nursing stress in my life is not going anywhere, the school stress will be full force, and I need to do something! How are you all keeping it together? I am afraid it is only going to get worse come Sept. Can you complete NS and maintain a healthy balance in your life. Fortunately, I won't have to work (I hope) but I do have children, and other people who depend on me and require much of my time.
