Weird Job interview

Published

Alright so here it goes, A couple of days ago i had an interview for a nursing job here in chicago. i was so nervous because it is my first rn job interview. she asks alot about my previous experiences and sad to say im a newly grad. so the first interviewer is the assistant DON. and i think everything went smooth. she told me that if everything goes well after the 2nd interview i will be in the 2-10 shift gives me my possible schedule. after the interview she asked me to wait for the administrator, who will be the 2nd interviewer. after waiting for a while, she told me that the administrator will just call me back for the 2nd interview. Im on the 2nd day now of waiting for her call and havent recieve a call back yet. im so worried i think i messed up!

WHat are your thoughts? Pls help!

Even though you are a new grad you have had experience! As a new grad, you can highlight your nursing school clinical experience, giving specific examples, what you were praised for, etc. It might not be that you messed up, but if possible, follow up maybe?

Good luck!

thank you for the reply. yeah i told my friend to follow up on my application because she's the one who referred me there. and im afraid to follow up personally because im thinking they might get irritated. oh well im just praying to get that job because i really needed it.

it's only been TWO DAYS. Give it at least a week. Then follow up ONCE. If they want you, they will contact you. Put yourself in the hiring manager's shoes. Would you hire someone you didn't like just because they were annoyingly persistent? NO. If they like you, they will call you.

I give it a 7-10 days then call. I would NOT have your friend follow up.
