Tweety glad things are settling down at work

Ado I hope your hospital does not close

NJ22 hopefully the carotid ultrasound will give some answers

Stars it seems like a good idea, given that she seems to be declining more and will likely need more care

Yesterday was a fairly quiet one at work, which was good as I was dealing with vaccine side effects all day...fever, aches, fatigue.  Did manage to do the grocery shopping after work and stopped at the library, rested the rest of the day

On the plus side keeping the anxiety under much better control, hope that continues

Nothing unusual today, have a meeting at work, hopefully it won't be too long

Weather pretty much the same, will get up to 90

The temp is supposed to get up to all of 86 degrees, but the humidity is 95%. ACK! And the intermittent rain showers will be at 8 and 9 AM, and then again at 12 Noon, and 2 PM. Uh-huh. Will believe it when/if it happens.

Nannie-Banannie is being hauled off to daycare by SiL. (Buh-bye!)

I got up about 40 minutes before SiL arrived, and when I went down to the den, unlocked the back door and opened the drapes.....Nannie was once again sitting up asleep in her (un-reclined at the time) chair. I didn't wake her up. It was only a matter of minutes before SiL was to arrive. I made a cup of coffee and came back upstairs to my room.

I was thinking of doing a few short errands, but I am surely not going to go out in the morning rush-hour in the rain! And rather than getting a running start on the day, I am going to stretch out on the bed and nap.... just because I can. Aaaaaahhh!

Hours later......

Executive decisions upon which I don't have to sign (scratch) my name with a fat, black marker, and holdup to show to the cameras, with a flourish of impressive grandeur, and a self-satisfied 'smile':

*I slept several more hours, and now am doing the lower back/capsaicin patch/resting against a pile of pillows while I drink a 2nd cup of 'cofeve'.

*I am not going out to get the few items on my to-do list until a little while before I must retrieve Nannie from daycare. A grocery store and a pharmacy aren't too far from where the senior center is, so I don't have to go out twice for what we need here.

*And, IF I am 'lucky' enough that Chatty CG is scheduled for tomorrow and she actually shows up.... I will go have my nails done tomorrow. Otherwise we're looking at another 6 or 7 days wait for them, and oh well.

S'tough to be the CEO of myself, as I don't always cooperate, or I change my mind and the to-do list has to be rearranged, ? ,repeatedly. At least I don't have to listen to the grumbling of half the country's voters!

By the way, I do think my hair looks even worse since I 'fixed' it, but as I always say, "Nobody here knows me" and...."At least hair grows".

And with that bit of philosophy I will end this post!

Adios!

Good evening!

Not much going on.

I got my check back from the IRS where I overpaid $1100.  w00t!

During time spent with patients watching Fox News, one had a story on the Biden cover up of his dementia, later it was his incompetence and lying about the border, and again later it was about his withdrawal from Afghanistan.  Must have been a slow news day, but they can't see report on Trump without reporting how incompetent Biden was.

Meh.......

Back tomorrow.  We are short a nurse so I'll have a patient assignment.

Have a great evening.

Hi. Weather is cooler, and breezy. Spent the morning at the demo garden. Then home to do yet more weeding. The vegetables are slowly emerging from the jungle of weeds that has encased them. I have acquired some bodacious insect bites/stings, but the steroid cream that the dermatologist gave me is quite effective.

My achilles tendonopathy is causing intermittent pain. I need to be more vigilant about doing the PT exercises, because I don't want to go back to PT. It's sooooo boring.

Nuttin' planned for tomorrow, other than more weeding. I should check the blueberries. dh brought me a handful of ripe ones last night. The bushes were loaded with green fruit when I last checked. The little boy next door loves to come over to find the very ripest, sweetest berries. He's pretty cute.
