Hello,
I have just finished my application to Wayne State for the BSN-DNP track with an AG-ACNP specialty. Does WSU make you find your own clinical placements?
Thank you for your time.

They will help you find clinical placements but you also have the option to find your own pending approval by the program director and an existing contract between the institution involved and the university. The contract requirement isn't much of an issue as an AG-ACNP student since your rotations are going to be predominantly in-patient and the university has contracts with virtually all the large hospitals in the area. Preceptor options are strong in the fields of Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Critical Care, Hospitalist, and ED (at the time I was there). I served as a preceptor there from 2006-2009 and had a steady stream of students each semester. Over 50% of ACNP's in Metro Detroit are WSU grads.
Juan you da man. You always have great responses. Hopefully i find good critical care placements
