Waking up dizzy

Hello. I am hoping to be accepted into a nursing program starting spring 2006. I have taken many of the courses in the program already (psychology, chemistry etc.) I have a medical question concerning me...I looked around the internet for any answers, but couldn't find any. I hope no one is offended by using the forum for personal medical advice :)

Since I have been a little girl, I have woke up during the night with the room spinning around me. It takes a minute of just lying there for it to stop. Sometimes, I am able to go back to sleep, and it will happen a couple of more times until I get up. I then feel nauseaus the rest of the day. This only happens maybe 3 or 4 times a year, so not an everyday occurance. Does anyone have any idea as to what this could be?

So sorry to read about your situation, but have you talked to your doctor about it? Hope you feel better soon :)

have you ever heard of vertigo? i have a slight case of it myself, as for it happening only 3 to 4 times a year i'm not sure, but do some research on vertigo and speak with ur healthcare provider, they'll be able to help, hope u get better :balloons:

I am sorry, I just noticed that I put this in the wrong forum.

I have not discussed this with a doctor yet. Due to lack of insurance, I don't have a doctor. The local clinic for low income patients is booked, and they are not accepting any new patients.
