Wake Tech Fall 2022 ADN

Does anybody have any idea how the alternate process is playing out? we have received little information in regards to it. Im just curious if anybody has been able to get out of the alternate list 

I’m still on the list. I tried looking into what the gateway bb site is that they mentioned in the first email sent out. Didn’t find anything. I’m assuming as people start declining their acceptance offers, they will reach out to alternates. Just because there’s a checklist of things that we need to have done so the sooner we know we’re accepted, the sooner we can process our castle branch. I am constantly checking my email ?

I tried to get some more information all I was told was that we would need to wait until May 25th….has anyone received anything else?

from people I know that were top 5 on the alternates list, they just went ahead and got all their stuff ready (like books, physical, scrubs etc) because there’s a good chance you’ll get accepted. people who repeat or apply to multiple places will drop and then you’ll be notified if you got in! are you not able to process your background check until you get accepted?

did you know how many points the top 5 had? and unfortunately we can’t process anything untill we get into the accepted status.I think what sucks most is that we have no way of knowing untill orientation what number we are on the alternate list and to know if how many alternates are getting accepted

I don’t unfortunately, this was from a few years ago! that’s pretty annoying that it doesn’t process until you’re accepted. if someone drops on the first day of classes, whoever is next in line will get in, that’s why you should have all you’re stuff ready! the instructors don’t know how many alternates will get accepted, that all depends on how many people drop.

from friends that I have talked to that have already started in the nursing program, they said to start studying med calc. during orientation everyone will be told to start studying for it. you have a test on it a couple weeks after class starts and a couple weeks is not enough time to learn all the stuff you need to know in the med calc book. just a heads up for everyone! 

I was hoping they would start letting the first few alternates know before the 25th...All I can see is that there are 91 seats in the nursing 101 class and I was told I was #93 a couple of months ago...granted that may have changed, but I'm hoping for the best.

Has anybody had any luck getting off the alternate list yet?

I haven’t heard anything either. I emailed and was told to show up May 25th. 

Hey everyone! I gave up my seat bc I will be accepting else where, im assuming one of you alternates should have gotten in, have any of you moved up on the list

I haven’t heard anything lately. Maybe they’ll reveal more at orientation. I wasn’t sure when other schools acceptance letters get sent out so hopefully people will start reaching out if they want to give up their seats
