  1. gateway is like a school course for nursing. so when you log into blackboard it should be under courses and say gateway
  2. congratulations!! I wasn’t an alternate and im not able to see the gateway on blackboard either, so I wouldn’t worry!
  3. I don’t unfortunately, this was from a few years ago! that’s pretty annoying that it doesn’t process until you’re accepted. if someone drops on the first day of classes, whoever is next in line will get in, that’s why you should have all you’re stuff ready! the instructors don’t know how many alternates will get accepted, that all depends on how many people drop. from friends that I have talked to that have already started in the nursing program, they said to start studying med calc. during orientation everyone will be told to start studying for it. you have a test on it a couple weeks after class starts and a couple weeks is not enough time to learn all the stuff you need to know in the med calc book. just a heads up for everyone!
  4. from people I know that were top 5 on the alternates list, they just went ahead and got all their stuff ready (like books, physical, scrubs etc) because there’s a good chance you’ll get accepted. people who repeat or apply to multiple places will drop and then you’ll be notified if you got in! are you not able to process your background check until you get accepted?
  5. congratulations!! ?
  6. nice! are you far up on the waitlist?
  7. the accepted point range was 142-180 (at least that’s what I was told). your position on the waitlist all depends on how many people from last semester are repeating! the emails for those who are waitlisted will say what position you are.
  8. I got in as well, congratulations everyone!
  9. right, I believe those in the LPN program who start this Summer will “join” in on the ADN class who starts in the fall in the 3rd or 4th semester. I think the reason why those in the LPN program already received their acceptance letters is because they start in the Summer semester and not the fall. I still wish we could get our letters this early haha
  10. I haven’t received mine either. has anyone in the ADN program received anything? I’m confused because most everyone was told April/May…
  11. the people that fail are given the option to retake, if they choose not to the seat goes to a new student. they can only retake the semester if their points are above the minimum for the semester. so since it’s 142 for the fall they have to have at least 142 points when they originally applied. they are apart of those 80 seats, but since admissions isn’t 100% positive on who will fail and/or retake that’s why they can’t send out letters until the semester is over.
  12. when I reviewed my applications with one of the advisors, I was told they had 80 seats, and the person in the 80th seat had 142 points. I’m not trying to contradict you or anything but that’s just what I was told! there’s a chance you could still get in, the number of people that failed this semester that will retake in august also determines if you get an acceptance letter or not.
  13. if you and someone else have the same amount of points they look at the date and time you both applied. whoever applied first has the seat and then the other person gets the next seat!
  14. I just spoke with them and they said the minimum was 142 too! they told me my ranking as well, it’s nice to know what ranking you are but it’s not definite until that letter comes… May can’t come any faster LOL!
  15. we won’t hear back about if we got in or not until around May ?
