Go to hospitalsoup.com.

They have a section about "Interview Questions You Will be Asked" and "Questions to Ask at Your Interview"

They have the sort of generic, one-size-fits-all type of questions you can expect pretty much anywhere...."What are your strengths?"

"What are your weaknesses?"

It depends on what they ask and want to know. I have been in the medical field for the last 17+ years. I have had more than a few interviews during that time. What I can say is the run the gammet from being very in depth to do you have a current license and a pulse.

Having said that one always has to be ready for the why should I hire you question. The other question that seems to pop up is the tell me your weakness question. For you that will be easy- " My weakness is that I am a new grad", but on the other had one can turn it in to a stregth as in being a new grad one hopes you have all the current training and information.

Other than that in todays nursing shortage environment- and we wont get in to the is/isnt argument- if you dont hear back in a week be calling yourself. Do some research, your application may still be sitting on someones desk in HR. Contact the nurse manager of the dept you are applying to. See if she has recieved it and when to expect and interview. Personally if I had 50 applications on my desk that all look the same I want something that makes you stand out.
