Hi everyone, I'm a new grad, soon to be R.N. (I hope!). Graduation day was May 20, and I am *still* waiting for my ATT. I'm getting really agitated as I read about more and more of you taking and passing the NCLEX (congratulations!). What is taking so darned long??

You're certainly not the only one who's frustrated at waiting for her ATT! I've been waiting for mine for more than 2 weeks already, and Pearson told me the average is 2-4 weeks! ARGH!!! I was hoping to take NCLEX this week, but now I'll be lucky if I can take it next week. I hate waiting for that stupid ATT!!

It depends on when your school sent in your final transcripts, so please do not blame Pearson-Vue for that. They actually handle everything rapidly.
Your school needs to send final transcripts into the BON, then they are reviewed. Once they are accepted, they will notify Pearson-Vue and you will receive your ATT. But remember that this only occurs after you have paid the $200 fee for the exam.

I graduated May 14 and got my ATT 2 weeks later via email.

Hi! I can relate to your frusteration. My official graduation was May 26. However, our last day of class for the nursing program was May 12, and transcripts were not going to be processed any earlier than the 26th. I received my eligibility notice last week, and mailed off my registration to Pearson Vue last Friday, June 3rd. I received my ATT through email yesterday afternoon - so once Pearson Vue received my registration and $200 they processed it very quickly. I'm in California. When I went online to schedule my test, I was able to get in this week (way too soon for me). The next available time slot they had was for the first week of July. I had hoped to take it by the last week of june. We'll see - I will be checking frequently to see if anyone cancels and I may just try to test earlier. I know how frusterating the waiting game is, hang in there!
Where did you see anything at all about blame?
Didn't mean blame like that. The biggest hold up with almost everyone getting their ATT has been with the time that it takes for the schools to submit final transcripts to the BON. Many have been writing me concerning how long it takes for Pearson-Vue to get things done, but they operate very quickly. It has been the school each time. Just wanted to make sure that everyone was aware of that.
In California, it has been even more of a problem, as the BON will let the student sit for the exam before they have the final transcripts if the student's name is on a list from the school. It can take up to a month for them to find out if they passed, early notification is not available and CA will not release the info until they have the transcripts.
