W on my Transcript

Hi everyone,

I applied to Chamberlain and I should find out if I got in by next week. I'm currently taking chemistry, however, I'm thinking of dropping it. Dropping the class would mean Chemistry would come up as a "W" on my Fall transcripts. I wanted to know if this would affect my admission process in terms of getting accepted or denied? My GPA won't be affected. I scored a 92% in Chemistry on the HESI and I am aware I will have to take this class at Chamberlain.

Nope, "W" doesn't count against you

Hi. Did you end up dropping this class? I am in the same boat trying to make this decision but with A&P II. I was told that I would have to take this class at Chamberlain regardless of the grade I earn. I'm not sure what to do and I don't want the W to affect getting into the school!

Yes, I ended up dropping it. I emailed my advisor about whether or not the W would affect me getting into the school, but since she sent my completed application along with my HESI scores to the admissions committee before I dropped the class, it won't be showing up. I'll have to take Chem at Chamberlain but I don't mind that.
