Volunteer!!!

Quite simply I want to volunteer. I want to volunteer specifically with children (pediatric oncology), abused women, devastated families. I'm having some trouble finding the volunteer sections on websites. I would love love LOVE to volunteer. Well, especially with (pediatric oncology dept). Today I helped someone ... in the most simplest way... actually twice... it made me feel something I cannot describe =). I also recall back when I volunteered at the nursing home and I loved it. I loved it so very much. Those folks made my days. Some were moody... but even those made my day! Lol... am I craycray or what? So please help me. Here's some info about me! I'm a first semester nursing student.

My email is [email protected] Please email me if you have any information.

I am from Houston, TX.

Where I live, the hospitals put volunteer information on the Jobs page. It might be similar for your state. If not, you could always go to the hospital/clinic/what have you and seek out the information in person. Some even have volunteer offices.

Have you thought about volunteer work outside of a hospital/medical facility?

I am a CASA worker, and work with foster children(advocate for the child). Im a former social worker who worked with abused/neglected children so this is right up my alley. It's very rewarding!
