Can I have the academic forms sent in by my school without them having my application or even a file number yet? will they create a file for me and begin the process?
thanks!

Until you have paid for and sent in your application then CGFNS are at no liberty to keep your paperwork until they do receive your application. I would say better to start the application and then get your school to send in transcripts/forms etc
Thank you Silverdragon! I guess I will have to wait for that liscense number before doing anything...
You do not have to wait for any license number. As long as you have passed NCLEX you can start the paperwork off and arrange verification from your state. The sooner you start paperwork the quicker it will go.
Oh excellent!
I guess I will fill out the application right away then. I passed the nclex, but have not received the passing letter yet. After I receive the passing letter, I will apply for the liscense, wait for the liscense, and then ask for verification from the board? is that the right sequence?
Thank you!!
Remind me which state you have taken the exam? If the state will issue a license without a SSN then you can apply for license otherwise you will have to wait until you have TN and then apply for SSN and then get license issued. Otherwise you do not need a license in hand to process VSC application and get a TN visa you just need confirmation you passed NCLEX and a job employment latter (plus vsc)
Thank you once again! Have a SSN from years ago as a student before they were as difficult to obtain. applied in IL.

Hi! I checked my online account on CGFNS and found out at the correspondence written like this on the section mailed via postal mail. The letter is a WELCOME - Visa Screen: Visa Credentials Assessment (VS) - Initial Certificate. Is this the certificate that I am waiting for? I check on the order status and it states to have a " Ready for review". Thanks..
