Virus that lasts over 6 weeks?

Can a child have a virus that lasts more than 6-8 weeks with constant fevers (round the clock)? If so, what kind of virus could it be? Mono was ruled out. Not asking medical advice, asking for certain viruses that can cause this and why so long? :scrying:

West Nile can last that long, from what I remember. Do you have a mosquito problem where you live?

YES! His WBC have been low as well...2.9-3.3 average. Can that be a symptom of West Nile?

I am so sorry that your son is ill. However, asking about general questions is okay. However, when we venture into a patient's symptoms, it strays into medical advice. You always have the option of getting a second opinion.
