:ohi! read some of the questions here but i couldn't find any answer to my problem. How will I know the status of my application in Sacramento Board of Nursing??? I sent it last November. Im done with the online registration in Pearson and Pearson replied by an e-mail. Now I'm just waiting for the Sacramento Board of Nursing to reply via mail.

Because you are living and trained abroad it usually takes a few months before you get OK to sit exam and pearsonvue send out ATT. We do not recommend foreign nurses to apply to pearsonvue until they get the go ahead from BON as application is only valid for 12 months and if there are any delays or problems then you will have to pay again
I would also suggest you read the International forum as many issues with immigration at the moment you need to be aware of
Moved to the International forum as more appropriate

Sacramento is not a BON, it is just the location for the CA BRN.
You can expect four to six months before you will get approval from them to be able to sit for the NCLEX exam. Sorry, but you should never register with Pearson-Vue until you know that your credentials will be accepted.
There are also many posts on this forum why you should not have used CA for initial licensure. Suggest that you do some reading on some of the other threads here.
For each and every application that they receive, if they need to spend the time contacting someone about its status, then it will take even longer to get approval.
I would just wait until you hear from them. There is no reason to contact them at this time.
thanks guys!
