VCC Winter 2023

Hey guys, 

I wanted to create a group for whoever applied to the LPN to BSN advanced entry program at VCC! I was wondering if anyone knows when they would start sending out acceptance letters? 
I have sent all my pre reqs in but just waiting for the Casper results!!

I have also applied for the advanced entry, I've looked at a few other forums.. not for the advanced entry but for the full BSN program and a few members said they heard in June. I would expect it would probably be the same for advanced entry. 

Do you know how many seats they offer for advanced entry?

Hi there! 
I’m thinking June as well. I can’t wait that long it’s so nerve wracking! Haha. 
 

According to admissions, they only offer 24 seats! ?

How did your Casper exam go, did you do the snapshot interview as well*** I’m not sure if that is needed***

I just was reading this forum, I applied to the BScN program 1st year entry and I just received my acceptance today! So it's gotta be much earlier for you all.

I checked, I have not received an email yet. My application status still says under review. Do you mind me asking what your admission requirements looked like for comparison?

Hi yes thank you!!

So I have about a Bach of Arts in Psych, 3.61 GPA, Casper 50th and 74th percentile range (3rd quartile), years of volunteer with VGH and VASS (but they waived this), and I think 85 or something on the math assessment.

Congratulations! That’s amazing news. I’m still waiting as well. My Casper results haven’t been updated yet

Just checked my application.. Looks like I am waitlisted. 

I checked yesterday and it still said under review.. but I guess today it changed

That’s okay, don’t lose hope. I still don’t know what my fate is ? if you don’t mind me asking, what are your credentials?

Did you check yours today? I never got an email it just says under admission details: waitlisted March 16. 

Honestly my credentials aren't the greatest in comparison to other students on here. ENGL B(2.84), BIOL A-/C+ 3.67/2.33 (3.00) and my elective avg of 3.67. I have about 4 years of LPN experience. I believe I was in the 3rd percentile for Casper.

Also if you do end up being waitlisted like me, they do not tell you where you are on the waitlist. I phoned admissions to ask and he said that they cannot disclose that information. However, if program seats become available students must pay the tuition deposits before the payment deadlines, which are usually within two weeks of the offer issued date. So if some do not accept the offer, maybe we might hear in the next month?
