Valencia Fall 2019

Hello everyone! I can’t seem to find a thread for FALL 2019 for Valencia college. So I decided to make one and see when others have put their applications in and all that good stuff.

Yea, my friend said that many people took the semester lightly, or wasn’t in the mental space to be in the program which is fine- you’re trying to find your path and how to study, but it sucks for those who are trying to apply. Maybe, they took applicants up until April 15th? I’ve been in the medical field for 10 years and I just want to get into the program lol. Maybe some people will decline and we can scoot on in there lol ?

@Luzpr did you pick a specific campus? And was it the ASN program?

If you applied to the transition program, have you heard anything yet?

I applied, and I haven’t heard anything yet. Just the email back when I dropped off my application that they received it.

I contacted my advisor this morning and she told me that the advanced track students should hear something by today at the earliest, if not then we should hear something tomorrow. She also said the acceptance emails go out in waves and usually the advanced track is last. I hope this is helpful information.

Thanks so much for the info! I’ve been checking my email like a mad woman ?

I feel you. I’m very disappointed that I didn’t received an email, and I applied in March 6. Now I’m wondering if this whole application process is really first come first serve. Who you think I should talk to a health science advisor about those emails I haven’t been receiving as well?

I talked to an advisor for health sciences at the Advising Center last month and she told me it is a first-come first-serve basis. not based on merit. as long as you meet the requirements and submit your application early. I was also told that everyone is accepted if you meet the requirements, that's why there is generally a waitlist.
