Uworld

Hi I am a Lpn of 8 years and I just finished my Rn program in December. I am waiting on my ATT. I've been studying everyday using Uworld doing 100+ questions a day and also Mark Klimek. I have lacharity book and the ati comprehensive book but I have not used either of those yet. Ive been doing Uworld for about 3 weeks and my scores are still in the 40-60 range. I take notes and everything. What am I doing wrong???? HELP!!

First, I would definitely try to isolate what's going on, whether it be a test-taking issue or a material/knowledge deficiency. Finding that out can greatly benefit you in future studying and test-taking! When I used uWorld, I scored around the same as you (spoilers: I passed), but what I would really be looking at is the general trend of your scores. Have your scores been slowly increasing as you continue using uWorld? Ideally, your scores should be increasing as you go, as it could be a good indicator of your adaptation to the NCLEX test style as well as material that you're absorbing. I used uWorld for the NCLEX-RN exam as well, and I found that looking over the rationales of my incorrect questions helped me do better in future questions. If I noted that I really didn't know anything about a topic, I would delve deeper into my notes and try to study surrounding concepts as well (i.e. if I didn't understand a question about a certain cranial nerve, I would go through and study all twelve). uWorld also allows you to make flashcards, which I also recommend for topics that were heavier to understand. One thing to remember, hitting the 40th-60th percentile on uWorld is not bad, anything above 50% on the NCLEX is considered a PASS, so it sounds like you could be on target. Study hard and try your best! Good luck!

Thanks so much. I am doing more content review. I’m almost done the test bank and I am going to redo all the questions that I did wrong
