UW ABSN Fall 2016

Hmm odd. Seems like there was a lot of people who posted in the thread last year for 2015 around this same time period...

Did less people apply this year?

WOW! How do you know? Do you know whether they'll let us know around the same projected time as last year (around Mid Dec)?

Hahaha oh man I'm such a dork... I just realized I posted this thread as Fall 2016 and not Summer 2016.. Oops!

@v.lam827 Were you at the proctored essay in person? Or did you do it off site?

I was there in person. I believe it was the dean of admissions(?) who headed the proctored essay. She said that there were the most applicants for this program than ever before. I believe she said it was 314 and there are 49 spots.

Of course, it was right before the essay began and couldn't write this down so my memory may be a LITTLE fuzzy on the exact numbers. I do remember doing the math afterward and came up with the 1 in 6 chance of admission.

Does anyone else recall this?

Is there a way you can change the name of the thread? Doesn't seem there are too many of us here if you want to make a new one. We can just leave a note to find us on the new one :)

@v.lam827 -- I also forgot to say that she mentioned that we will be notified of admission by USPS closer to the end of December this time, rather than the middle of December.

So one more month!! I'm already checking my mailbox just in case haha.

I didn't take the proctored exam in Washington. I'm located in California so I had someone proctor it for me...
