I saw this posted on the UTMB website and didn't know if everyone knew about it yet, so here you go!

Spring 2011 Applicant Update

The last day of applicant interviews for Spring 2011 will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010.

Applicants should expect to receive notification regarding admissions for Spring 2011 by Tuesday, November 9, 2010.

wow that seems soo fast from the last day of interviews...also on my interview email it said they were only given on oct 4th and 15th.... hmm wonder if there will be another round added as they were reviewing apps

From reading threads for previous years, I think that they will hold additional interview sessions after the first set of interviewees (Sept. 24, Oct. 4 & 15) have been accepted/rejected. I read that as some people were getting their acceptance letters, others were just getting an invitation to interview. Maybe they need to know how many spots they have left before they schedule a whole bunch of interviews?

They do it in rounds so that if people decline their acceptance offer they can still accept others.

I read in an earlier post that you were supposed to interview sept 24th. Would you mind sharing what questions they asked you? I want to be well prepared for my upcoming interview. Thanks a lot!!

Does anyone know if the interviews are one on one or group interviews?

they are one on one interviews.

They are usually one-on-one, but on Friday they were really behind. Almost two hours behind. So there was at least one time when they had two people go with one interviewer. That was definitely the exception though.

I would do a search, especially in the Spring 2010 and Fall 2010 threads because many questions have been posted in the past. I'm not trying to be difficult, but I don't want to make waves by helping to give some people an advantage that others didn't have. Good luck though!:D

Understandable CLaker, thanks!

Hi all. I've been reading all of the posts re: interview and acceptance letters. I have submitted applications to UTMB and UT-HSC. I'd like to ask a hypothetical question: What if you recieved acceptance letters from both UTMB and UT-HSC? If a person has to relocate to the Houston/Galveston area anyway, which school would be your choice and why? thanks.

honestly both are amazing schools with great reputation but something to think about if you are relocating anyways ut hsc is in the med center and even for utmb most clinicals will be in houston
