UTMB Fall 2016

Hi everyone, I'm quite new to this forum since I only stumbled upon it a few days ago to find any information on how fast the admissions process is. To my surprise, yesterday I received an e-mail telling me I had been accepted as an early admission student, as well as an invitation to apply to the honors program. All without even an interview !! I didn't know they circumvented the interview part. Anyway, everyone keep your fingers crossed, I hope you all hear back from utmb soon

I just joined the forum today. I am probably applying for Spring 2017 (I know I'm far out) :)

Just wondering if any of you guys applied for other schools, if so, were they in the Houston area?

I am working on the idea of which schools I will be looking into.

Well i just got an email for early admissions as well, my overall gpa is a 3.75 and got a score of an 88 on my TEAS

4.0 pre-reqs and 4.0 science, 90 TEAS, but i don't think scores is all they look at. I know someone whose numbers were barely lower than mine and was turned down, so I think they take a look at the applicants in their entirety and not just the stats

According to the website, students with these stats are given early admission and then the opportunity to apply for the honors program:

• Minimum overall GPA of 3.75; minimum GPA of 3.75 in prerequisite courses; all science grades must be a B. (GPA is based on grades at time of application).
  
• Minimum TEAS Composite score of 85
  

Has anyone else heard anything back from UTMB? MY application was verified on 12/22 and I have not heard anything!

Hello! I have applied for both summer 2016 and the fall, but have not heard back about the summer decision. Is anyone here on the same boat?

A friend of mine also applied for the summer she got an interview in mid December and on the 24th of December she found out she got accepted. Hope this helps.
