UTMB Fall 2008

I called UTMB this morning and I was told that "we are in the process of sending letters, please check your enrollment status". I told her I had and it still says pending. She told me they are still working on some of the applications and are still sending out letters but, you should hear something soon.

I guess they aren't interviewing? Eh? I feel like ...:scrm:

Has anyone heard from UTMB? I applied for fall 2008 and I have not heard anything.

Hello everyones...

sorry for ask the same old question... but... "DO ANYONE receive ANY thing from the UTMB yet???"

I called couple days ago.. The lady told me that the admission committee still revieing some applications left. And sooner or later, they will mails the interview letters to those potential applicants.. However, I'm really have no ideal about what are they going to do and when are they going to mail those letters out...

Since I've been heard sooo many bad history records about UTMB from former applicants!!!....

I have an interview with UTMB!! YAY. It's on May 9th. Does anyone else have an interview?

Congrats on the interview... I was told that most, if not all, people that were chosen for interviews were notified via email this past week.

Good luck to those who were notified, it says a lot about your application! UTMB is switching to twice a year admissions, so this fall only 45 or so will be accepted. Just remember to be yourself and relax!

Hopefully I will see some of you guys this fall!

Looks like I'm not even going to get an interview from UTMB. Their selection process must be different from other schools. I was admitted at UT Houston, Texas Womens, and interviewed at UTHSC SA and UT Austin but I didn't even make the interview cut for UTMB. It is just odd. Or maybe they lost my paperwork. Oh well, I'm going to my first choice, UT Houston, so it doesn't matter. :)

I called UTMB today basically told the woman I spoke with I was tired of getting the run around and that I've had my application in since Sept, yada, yada. She was polite and told me that they are still making decisions and yes they are doing interviews. She stated that there are about 600 applicants and yes, they will only be taking 45 this semester (*****). She states that she doesn't know why they are taking only taking that few. She was unsure of how many they would interview but, she said about 100. She states that they are running late and that we will be invited to interview by email withing the next week and a half and that they are running a little behind due to graduation. She also told me that some denial letters have already been sent out.

So I guess it's more waiting for everyone and goodluck. I'm sure I'll be recieving a denial letter any day now. 8 months of waiting for nothing. This really blows.

I'm sorry you feel that way... but you never know! But I DO KNOW for a fact that they are only taking 45 because they are moving to a twice a year admissions. Instead of 90-100 being accepted once a year, 45 will be accepted twice a year... I know they are hoping to increase these numbers to 100 twice a year in the next five years, but it takes time to build up staff and resources to handle that many new students. I'm sorry that this doesn't help you right now, but if you are not accepted anywhere else, then reapply for the spring of 2009.
