UTA AP BSN Program Spring 2011 Hopefuls

Hi all,

I am applying for the AP BSN Program for the Spring 2011 and was wondering if anyone has received any word on the acceptance letter or any information in general? I am really hoping to get into the program for Spring of 2011 and am extremely nervous. I honestly dont think ill be able to get into the program because my GPA isn't as competitive as others who are applying. Well any information on anything will be extremely helpful!

Hi Kat,

I'm still waiting as well. I'm not partnered with any hospitals. I received an email confirming the receipt of my application on 9/13. My specs are as follows:

B.S. Biology from UTA

M.S. Pharmacy from UF

3.0 Overall Science GPA

88% HESI

I'm currently taking Pharm and Patho from UTA AP.

Let me know if you hear anything!

I'm also waiting as well.

I have a BA and and MA, but both in non-science fields.

4.0 science, 99% HESI

I'm also currently taking pharm and patho.

I'm not partnered with a hospital, so I'm a little worried about that, since I think those applicants get priority placement.

Have either of you heard how many people applied for the spring? Or how many they accept?

Stephanie

Wow. Nice scores, Stephanie!

I heard the same thing - they prioritize partnered applicants. :-/

I haven't heard anything about the number of applicants nor how many they accept.

Do they include traditional BSN students in the numbers as well?

Also, do the AP BSN applicants require interviews?

Talked with my adviser and she informed me that the letters should be going out before November 1. After doing a little digging on the internet, it seems that in the past, Spring applicants knew their fate the Friday before Halloween.

Oh wow that's great to hear.... According to the AP BSN website the selections will be made by nov 30th..... But I would also love to hear on the friday before Halloween:)

There are no interviews for the AP BSN program so it's pretty much up to your overall grade....

I am sorry but I gave you false info. The traditional program usually finds out before Halloween. Again, I am sorry.

Hi everyone- I just received my acceptance letter yesterday for the Spring 2011 AP BSN online program and I'm so excited! I hope you all make it in as well.
