USF Upper Division Summer 2012

I just got accepted into the program, starting May 14th!!! :D

Is anyone else attending here as well? I just signed up for the March 30th general orientation. Also, I will be moving from Gainesville, Fl. Any apartment suggestions?

Me too!! I'll see you in orientation.

As for apartment, the area around USF is full of options, furnished and unfurnished. I would stay away from the ones around Fletcher and 42nd...a lot of loud partying and traffic gets REALLY congested. Also try to stay close to I-75/I-275, it'll help keep your commute to a minimum.

I created a FaceBook page for the Summer 2012 class: https://www.facebook.com/groups/164526560334911/

I got accepted too! Looking forward to meeting you both. I live in Pinellas county, so I'll be doing the long commute every day :). Good luck finding an apartment!

I got in as well!!! I'm currently taking pathophysiology so that's one less course I have to take in May. A few others in my class got in. Can't wait to meet everyone!

Hi I just applied to USF school of nursing upper division for fall 2012. I was told by the nursing advisors that a 3.7 GPA was the average admittance GPA from last year.

I was wondering if you guys think I have a chance I have a 3.75 GPA and a 3.8 science GPA I never failed any classes I withdrew pass from one class A and P 1 and later recieved an A. I wrote a strong personal statement. I have exprience because I have been a C.N.A. since 2008 and I have volunteered (I was told this voluteerism is not as important by an advisor) someone please reply I'm so excited to hear your replys. Thank You! I hope everyone got into summer!!!

I know people with 3.9 who didn't get in, and people with 3.4 who did. The latest thing I heard with our entering class (Summer '12) is that GPA is important, but it just gets you into the "to be considered file". Apparently a LOT of weight is given to your personal statement: 1) address any glaring issues (bad semesters, gaps in enrollment, etc.) 2) ADDRESS ALL PARTS OF THE QUESTION (there's like 3 or 4 things they ask you to address).Good luck!

Thanks uarmashi. Did you get into nursing school yet? Im really nervous but I think I did a good job on my personal statement, but I didnt really have any glaring issues execpt for the C I made in human growth and dev. thanks again.

Hey uarmashi i just realized you got into the program ...I was wondering if you would look at my paper and tell me if it need any adjustments....thanks

For the 2nd degree program, do they look at your 1st BS degree GPA or just pre-reqs?
