Dear Nurses,
I am a staff nurse working in NHS in UK who wishes to go to USA. My nationality is Indian. Are there any Indian nurses who are currenlty trying to go to USA ?
as I have heard the processing is delayed.
Thank you.

Yes the retrogression for an Indian born nurse with an EB3 visa job offer is over a decade wait (from the time the visa application is processed and accepted by USCIS). This does not include the time for credential evaluation (3-6 months or more) plus applying to the state board of nursing, passing the NCLEX-RN, and finding an employer willing to go through the time (especially the 10+ year wait) and expense to sponsor an overseas nurse. (There are not many employers sponsoring overseas nurses, especially in high demand areas such as major metropolitan areas NY, parts of TX, CA, PA, NJ, IL, etc as there are many qualified nurses in these areas who are citizens, permanent residents or have work rights).
It's not impossible but it is difficult.
