I graduated from school more than twenty years, name of the school might changed and location might changed ,everything might changed, I dont know anything there now.cgfns requirement standards are different with many years ago.Without License, I cant work, without work, my family and I cant survive. any advice? how can I waive cgfns ?any one has same situation? who do I need to talk to?

If you wish to be licensed and work in NC you need to meet the requirements. Were you licensed in CA or just an NCLEX passer. Most states require the same information & reports from an IEN seeking a license whether by examination or endorsement.

Right......but you didn't answer the question so we can help you.

Beachy Were you licensed in CA or just an NCLEX passer.
How long have You have been practicing in the US?

Your best bet is to call the BON...you MIGHT be able to convince them that since you have practiced here for a while is the

cgfns ces professional reoprt for RN endorsement
really necessary. Even US educated nurses must comply with the requirements that are required by the state they are applying. If they aren't in compliance they too will be denied. Unfortunately if the CGFNS is required they will probably not waive it.

Thanks. I have been practicing in the US for many years and graduated from school many years. I follow all requirments they need. I didnt know anything about outside there any more. I dont know how long time or how many months would take if looking for everything two decades ago from out of US,there always change every year, no one is responsible for your mail and cgfns mail while you are waiting and waiting for. I have to pay two states housing. I desparetely need my License to be transfered and live with my family to save money. as I know, some of states board might ask for cfgns, but ok to waive if reasons to them. I am a experience nurse in US. I have been evaluated and qualified for nurse many years ago by my original state board. I have been passed NCLEX and Licensed many years, I have been practicing many years in USA, I take 30 hours CE courses every two years for renew License, I should be considered as same level as US and hope to be treat same as others US license nurse and hope they accept my certify copy of school transcript from my original board but not. I hope to put my energy to my patients and I need to get a little bit support.... sorry so length words... I am a hard worker and a good follower and not complainer....thank for your time...I feel very discouraged bc i have to wait.. wait....

My university changed addresses too. I just had to google and contact the office. Making international calls were expensive, and emailing was unreliable because I didn't think the office checked their email much lol. But eventually I got a hold of them and got my nursing school evaluated. It's doable, please don't stress.

I also want to add that companies that do evaluation services such as CGFNS and WES have this thing were you pay them to keep your CES for a longer period of time. This way, you don't have to go back to your nursing school and try to contact them again if you need a CES. Being a foreign grad, I felt like paying the additional fee to keep my records longer was beneficial.
