About three weeks ago I had an interview with Northside Hospital for their Nurse Residency program for MedSurg units. Apparently everything went well because they called me back an hour later to set up the next round interview for January 7th, 2014.
I AM SUPER NERVOUS!
It is a panel interview with the unit managers (7-12). Has anyone had an interview here for this position? And do you have any suggestions? Did they as you questions like what would you do if a patient has blah blah blah s/s???? or more customer service?
Thanks!

If they are interested in you for a nurse residency program, chances are they need YOU more than you need them.
Probably 4 of the managers will show. Focus on each of their questions individually.
No clue as to the direction of those questions, look them in the eye and answer honestly, even if the answer is I don't know.(but I'll find out.)
Smile , smile, smile... have a feeling you've got this.
Keep us posted.

think twice before you start medsurg... you might end up hating your job and nursing all together. that's the #1 advice I give to nursing students if they ask me for any advice coming into workforce.
for interview help, type interview tips on this forum, you will find million of gold, then write them down and find answers that APPLY to YOU! no cliche you see. good luck God be with you!
Thank you all so much! I got the job and had several offers and I accepted on the Cardiac Progressive Unit ...basically telemetry. I start on Monday so I am excited!
thank you!
