unsure if i need to report or not

i know it probably silly but i've just started nursing and i was clearing a patient table so they could put down the dinner tray. when i picked up an empty plastic sandwich container, it cut me on the finger. i then threw it in the bin and didn't think anything of it. before i picked it up i didn't notice anything unusual about it or that it had any stains on it. i then got to think later that i probably should have reported it and was just wondering if anyone had any comments on the matter? the cut was quite deep and made me bleed.

I would clean it, and throw a band aid on it and continue with the shift. I would not lose any sleep over it...

Agree. I wouldn't even give it a second thought.
