UNLV SON Fall 2015

I really didn't want to be this person. Meaning the one who makes/follows a blog for the cohort they're applying for. Only because I'm usually a carefree person and I know this will only cause anxiety.

Anyways, we're about a month away from the deadline, how exciting!

Good luck to all of those applying. :)

I can't post my full points yet, since I'm still a week away from taking the HESI, but if anyone would like to share their points, please do. Also, if anyone wants to provide any tips for the HESI, that would be great as well.

I called and scheduled a signing session today and wanted to share some information with those who may have procrastinated, like myself. There are 5 days left with spots available: June 4th, June 18th, June 19th, June 25th and June 26th and majority of these only have 2 spots available. So, if you have not yet done so, definitely call and schedule your appointment.

I look forward to getting to know those applying and hopefully starting a new journey with you guys come Fall. :)

I don't think there is a limit.

yessssss!! lol. Are you applying anywhere else? I was thinking Touro, but I don't know much about them.

I was going to also apply at Roseman. I have friends who are currently in the program and who have graduated. But that's my plan B

I wouldn't apply to Touro they have had accreditation issues in the past and I've heard they may be losing their accreditation.

There is also a school in Summerlin. Chamberlain School of Nursing but I haven't looked too much into it because I live in Henderson lol. Too far of a commute for me.

Roseman only accepts once a year tho right? Well if I don't get in this time, I'll apply for spring and Roseman probably.

Yeah Roseman's cohort is Fall so you would have had to apply by May31'st. Although you can probably call and still get an appt. to see if they're still accepting because this year they decided to have a class last minute. They weren't going to have a Fall cohort b/c they were going to have a masters class but they decided on having the Fall cohort.

I was actually invited to an interview last month for them, but couldnt make the appointment because my aunt passed away suddenly. I emailed Erik to see if I could still be considered or would still be able to have an interview. I'll see what he says, because obviously they have had my complete application for a while now.

Obviously I'm a little nervous with my 90.04 with UNLV lol

Yeah I totally understand! Sorry for your loss. :shy:

I hope you can get an interview over there too!! Better the odds! It's a great school just requires you to be on your toes!

Wow, a lot of these scores are 90 or above.. It makes me a little nervous too.

Maybe we can create a poll to get an estimate on the distribution of points.

I know :( I'm right at 90, and I'm nervous after she said today that this was the biggest cohort they have had yet with over 120 applicants. Got me looking at other schools lol

As of right now I'm at an 88.8 but I'm retaking my hesi thursday! Hoping for something above 90, but i don't know if that will even help cause I feel like everyone is right at it or above! There is always spring too! Just a three month difference

Keep your head up! We do not have enough people participating in this forum to get a real idea of the point distribution. I'm sure reaching almost perfect scores is not an easy task for most people. There has to be many other students in the lower 90's.
