I have been out of work since oct 2013, everywhere I apply wants a bsn and I only have associates. I am not even sure I want to stay in nursing I love the patients but the paperwork, is a killer any ideas on what to do outside of direct patient care?

    Perhaps work from home? Insurance companies such as Liberty Mutual, Aetna, Blue Cross / Blue Shield, and United Healthcare always advertise for nurses who can review claims.

    Also, are you seeking employment outside the hospital setting? I've never heard of a nursing home or home health company that demanded a BSN degree out of their staff nurses.
