UNE CRNA 2020 Applicants

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to start a thread for University of New England CRNA applicants for 2020. I have so many questions! Does anyone know if they've been approved for the first DNP class? Any idea how many applicants vs accepted students there are, on average? Are 2 cohorts accepted each year, or only one in May? Finally- what's the deal with clinical sites? Can we choose where we go, and what percentage of time is spent outside of Portland? Good luck to everyone!

Hi @Robin185,

Im getting ready to apply next month to the program. There is another thread on here with a lot of great info on the program, and one of the people who posts (Sara D. I believe) is currently a student. She has been incredibly responsive to anyone posting with questions. I would reach out to her, she's been a great resources for me. It looks like class sizes are around 20 and according to the statistics from the CRNA schools website there is a 40 something percent acceptance rate. Im not sure what year that data is from though. I would reach out to the program administrator and ask. I have reached out to them a few times and they have been incredibly helpful. PM me and I can keep you posted if I find anything out.

I have an interview the Friday the 18th! I am coming from Michigan. I am also taking the required Biochem class. I really love biochemistry but this one is kind of tough! If anyone else is coming Friday and wants to do dinner or something let me know!!

I will be interviewing as well. Anyone past or present have any idea what were walking into?

Have any of you heard anything about whether or not you got in? Patiently waiting over here... (ok-not so patient- this ones a real nail biter)

I totally know what you mean. Nothing yet. I think maybe tomorrow or Friday because everyone had until tonight at midnight to complete biochemistry.

@carla4392 I definitely will. We’re only 72 hours potentially from finding out. It’s crazy to think after such a long journey.
