Anyone else out there applying to UNC's RN-MSN program for 2016? It would be nice to wait it out together!

I also applied for UNC's RN-MSN program for 2016, AGNP. I am relieved that my application is submitted, but it is hard knowing that it will now be months of waiting!

I just got my application in for Fall, 2016 matriculation into the AGPCNP program at UNC. I finished my BSN in May at ECU (through their RN-BSN program). I'm also applying to ECU's BSN to DNP program as well, and will probably apply to UNC-W FNP program, but the application isn't due until March 1.
This is the first post I've found for the upcoming "waiting season", so thought I'd check in, even though we'll be in different classes. Good luck to you!

Someone on a different thread posted that he found out he wasn't accepted on March 30th, via an email. It made my heart race! I wish decisions were released at the same time; it's so nerve wracking not knowing when to expect notification....
I wonder if that person hadn't completed all of the prerequisites prior to application. When I went to the information session in December they said that one of the first cuts that they made were for people who hadn't completed prereqs...not graduated from BSN program yet, hadn't finished or taken statistics yet...even if it was in progress. This was mostly due to having so many applicants competing for limited spots, they just had to make initial cuts somewhere. Starting next year they will not be accepting applications if these things haven't been completed before the application deadline.
I bet you are right. From what I could tell, the applicant applied to the Psych NP program without 6 months of direct psych experience, which doesn't meet the program's requirements. Definitely made me feel better!
So hopefully we are close to decision time...but I have to admit...the anxiety is getting to me!

Hello,
I have applied to the RN-MSN/FNP. I am anxiously awaiting too. All pre reqs were completed with 4.0 gpa except for 9 credit hours of social science in which I finish in 2 weeks. I obtained a national certification in critical care (CCRN) and since it was 2 days before the application due date they did an addendum to my application. They sounded VERY INTERESTED in the CCRN.....don't know why.... I'm getting more anxious everyday! I wish everyone the best of luck. Go Tar Heels!
Has anyone heard anything yet, or checked in with the University to see when they expect to make notifications? Just wondering...

On the other post, someone said they talked to a counselor on Wednesday and they were told "decisions were finalized Monday. We're in the process of getting letters together and hope to have them mailed out Thursday or Friday"
I was told we would receive an email or would be able to see our application status online. My application status states "submitted". So frustrating.
