UNC BSN May 2015

Published

Hi! Since applications were due a few weeks ago I thought I'd go ahead and start a thread for UNC's BSN program (May matriculation). Anyone else apply? Best of luck to everyone!

Hi there, I also applied and i'm super anxious about the wait.. I wish they would tell us already! I also applied to Duke but UNC is my first choice.

Yeah I applied from out of state and UNC's my first choice. Getting a response back has always been on my mind as of late, and I'm super anxious also...

So I just found out from the forum that many second degree students apply for the BSN option as well. Gosh that makes me so nervous!!

Anyways good luck to everyone!

I applied to UNC as well. I heard today that in recent years, folks start getting letters around the first week of March (maybe closer to the end of that week). With all the inclement weather we've had, I wonder if it will be delayed.

Like you all, I'm super nervous! I'm a second degree (okay, third degree) seeking student. Good luck to everyone! Que sera sera -- what will be, will be!

Please keep us updated if you get any updates!!

I am also third degree seeking student lol. I hope I get in, guess we will find out soon. Duke is my first choice but after seeing the price tag i might have to reconsider.

I mentioned this in another thread, but the fact that we have two degrees should help separate us from the rest of the second degree students.

I sure hope so, that would be great.

I hope so! I had a family member point out "maybe you should talk about why you're pursuing a third degree so they don't think you are indecisive" -- so I've had mixed feelings. Wish the letters would just get here so I can stop worrying about it :)

Luckily my second degree (MPH) fits in perfectly with other health degrees, so hopefully they don't see me getting a BSN as me not knowing what I want to do. I'm guessing either Thurs or Fri, we should start to hear something. This sucks. I no longer have House of Cards to watch to distract me.

That's nice to have a degree related to health. Mine are in Recreation Management and Communication. I have heard that they like a varied background, though, so I'll just keep my fingers crossed since there is nothing I can do about it now.

I just started House of Cards, I'm keeping VERY busy :)

I tried calling the office, the reception guy that answered said within next few weeks. He would not specify anything.

Wonder if that's because that's when the application FAQs specify (and they just have to keep following those guidelines), or if they are really truly behind. I'm really hoping they will be here soon!
