ok. I have no responses for this thread, but I still have not met anyone who has gone to the RN-bSN program at UM.

Eventhough I would LOVE to be a UM graduate,

they are quite expensive. and my budget is only$4,000K per year.

That would mean that according to my budget, I would only be taking one class per year!!! that is crazy!!

this is from the www.miami.edu website: the schoo'ls website.

okay, here it is. I found Barry University tuition and fees.

TUITION

UNDERGRADUATE Full-time, 12-18 credits per semester **

12,250.00

Part-time, per credit

720.00

Credit in excess of 18, per credit

720.00

that is really expensive as well......

so I meet lots of RN's who go to private school for their BSN but i guess they end up with lots of loans.

I am just going to do whatever FIU wants me to do. A state school has to be least expensive than this!

here is FIU:

In addition to your regular tuition and university fees the following fees apply:

$300 or $750?? hummm....... $300 please!

I went to Barry University for my BSN. Barry offers a 30% discount to RN's to obtain their BSN. I loved their program. I looked at UM and FIU at the time and got all the pre-reqs for all 3 schools however, in the long run, an opportunity to go to Barry arised and that's where I chose. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I believe that is 30% discount for the entire program but to be honest, I'm not sure......sometimers has set in and it's been a few years since I went to Barry.

that's great.

right now, it's looking more towards FIU. it's online and least expensive from all the other programs.

For the RN-BSN program, is it required to do clinicals like the ASN-RN degree?

The only clinical I had to do in my BSN program was Community Health. We went to several different community programs in Miami. One was at a senior center in Homestead where we took blood pressures. Other than that, I can't recall doing any other clinicals.
