UK visa

Hello everyone!

I just want to make an inquiry regarding UK visas. Is it true that the embassy is very strict in granting visa nowadays like tourist visa. Someone told me that, for example in my situation,im single in the country(Philippines) and a nurse its hard for me to issue a visa?My sister wants me to sponsor for a tour in the United Kingdom. What do you think about this?thanks!:wink2:

I am going to move your post to International forums as it is a question about Visa rather than UK nursing issues.

If I understand you correctly you want to come here to work, even with your sister as a sponser I doubt you will get a visa because nursing is no longer on the shortage occupations list therefore unless you are a senior nurse in a specialist area such as critical care you will not be given a Visa, also UK employers will not be able to offer you work unless the post cannot be filled from the UK or EU first.

Nope im not going to UK to find a work!I'll be going there for a holiday but thats my worry what if the UK embassy would think that i'm applying for a visa just for an entry to work there which is not.

If your coming for a holiday I imagine that would be OK, especially if you have your sister to sponser you

You can go to the UK for a visit, but that still requires approval from the government just as if you were applying for a visa for the US. All of them are getting harder to obtain at this time.

Best of luck to you.
