UIC Graduate Entry Program

Hi folks,

Thinking about applying to UIC's GEP program. Anybody here applied and was accepted? What were your stats?

My stats: 3.2 Overall GPA/3.5 Sci BA in Sociology. Office Manager in home health care, tech in a medical equipment co, medical assistant (no cert) in dr's office and later office manager there. Volunteering in Nursing Home around 120 hours...

From what I can tell on their website, after completing the NCLEX, you immediately start the master portion of the program. Is this correct?

Hii! Thanks for the clarification! However, it was a miscommunication with the admissions people. One person who had no idea what was going on with my application told me to send in the transcript, but the original person who I had been talking to checked the last thing I uploaded and said it was okay, and now there's a green mark next to it! I just want to hear back, already! this process is too long

Excellent, thanks for calling JustD16! I just checked my application status and saw some changes there so I know we are getting closer guys! Under my decision it says, "referred to college for review" and my transcripts have a huge green check mark next to them saying verified-correct!

Same here. Welp one more week won't hurt -_____-

So with all this I just checked my application status and it says one of my transcripts isn't verified and there is a red mark next to it??...guess I will call tomorrow to see what that is about but no one from admissions called or emailed me about it. Bahh! Of course it is the transcript from the school I got my degree from that isn't acceptable, but the one I uploaded from the school I took one summer school course at worked?!

I'm just confused because a few weeks ago it said all my application materials were recieved and completed and now there are items outstanding? And they didn't notify me of this change....did anyone else have this problem?

I just saw the same thing. I will ask them about it, but it likely is too late now.

I hope you don't mean too late for them to consider our application.....lol

It says next to one of my transcripts 'incorrect document', even though it was received. So now my application status says 'incomplete, items outstanding'. Which I'm guessing means that transcript. Just don't know when that haooened, last time I checked it said all materials were received, application was complete. And no one notified me that there there was something wrong. Just gonna call in the morning to make sure everything is ok.

Yeah call them first thing in the morning tomorrow.

Phew, got it all figured out! Had to call and email a few people but problem solved.

I was also able to find out that they are sending out interview invites this Thursday, and interviews can start the next day on Friday as well as the following week!

Hello! I logged into my application to see that one of my unofficial transcripts was also not accepted because my institution's name was not listed on it. Does anyone know who I should contact to have this cleared?? Thank you in advance!

I'm pretty sure I had the same problem and that's why they didn't accept mine. But since they were able to still get the gpa, school info and name it was changed. Call her, hope it works!
