UIC applicaton Completed

Has anyone else applied to UIC and finished their app? Also when are we supposed to hear back from them?

Yes I just finished my application! I think we don't hear back from them until April :(

Good luck~ I hope we both make it in!!

Good luck to both of you! I graduated from UIC in May 09. I found out in April (before I started there) that I was on the waiting list. I didn't think I would get in but I got a call a few weeks later that there was a spot for me. I think they have a great program. I really learned a lot and most of the professors will help you if you are having problems. Good luck!

If you dont mind me asking prinsessa...what was your gpa like?...I recieved acceptance into another school and I want to decline and wait it out for UIC and USF...I just want to feel better about taking this risk...

My GPA currently is 3.62 from Wheaton College in Illinois where I am a sophomore Applied Health Science major. I have taken Organic Chemistry, Human Anatomy, and a full year of Pre-med General Chemistry and Biology with an A- average. I am taking Microbiology, Physiology, and Developmental Psych as well as Statistics this semester to finish the prerequisites. I have also been volunteering at a mental health clinic as well as a Community Health Clinic to gain experience in nursing. I also have an awesome recommendation from a nurse practitioner who I have volunteered with for the past 6 years to help her special needs child.

What are my chances of getting in to UIC program? I have all my hopes set on this program basically or else I will stay at Wheaton College and finish my degree....

Good luck to all!! I guess all we can do is sit and wait :(

Are you all transfer students or straight from H.S.?

Transfer for me...

I am also a transfer.I think that is the only way to get into the BSN program? Unless you have already completed 2 years at UIC undergrad...
