Thanks Nursetobe745!

I don't have anything at all  and it's Tuesday! The first payment is due today also. My plan is to take a day off this week (or 2) and figure things out. I remember an earlier post from Spete39 that suggested that we buy our uniforms from Forman Mills and get the nursing shoes from KMART. This whole post has been priceless. I'm going to go back and read everyone's suggestions and go from there. One step at a time. I'll be there on Monday one way or another :).

Alright my dear,

good luck for everything.

Like you said Forman mills has some good uniforms cheap; and the best thing to do is take a day off and try your best to gather things together.

I can`t wait to get there on monday.

Congrats...and Good Luck to all of you!!! :yeah:

I cant send a priv mess I need help

I applied for the training program 2 months ago

I still have not been approved UDC says I can not start on Monday without approval letter.

I do not know what I am going to do

Do you know who I can talk to in unemployment Thanks

I am on way way over to the school to wrk something out

I will let u guys know how everything works out

They are trying to pull me down yet again

But I am surviving!

Hello Everyone!

Just accepted into program (LPN) waiting on start date, Book list, supplies needed etc. Very excited! I will be revisiting this post often. I do have lot's of questions so please be patient. My X went through the RN program at a local community college and had just started her BSN during our time together and prior to our Divorce. Hence that said I am somewhat familiar with the rigors and the challenges that may be ahead of me. I observed one of the greatest assets was the "Teamwork" and the resources of family, fellow students, instructors and the mentors that assisted in her sucess.

Ok fellow students her we go!

Little bit about me so if you can offer suggestions that may be more specific to my demographics, needs and desires. I am a 48 yr old single male (very very young at heart and health), prior self employed contractor whom is making this excitting career change as I would like to use my prior lifes experiences and combine them with new learned skills and cutting edge technologies to help provide the high quality health care to those in need. I would like to complete my training here in NJ, obtain my Lic. then move to either Fla or Tx to continue my career and education as to aquire my RN. I am a workaholic and can't wait to work nights and holidays in a career I might actually have the ability to make a "real" difference in. (Yes the work schedule is true and concise). I want to be in a career that offers not only stability but will allow me to challenge myself academically to become the best I can be.

As a student yet to step in the class room is there any advice you may offer me prior to me getting there? How about things you know now you wished you new when you started. Anything and everything. The good, bad and ugly. (Honesty is the best policy). Thanks again to all that reply. I truly wish nothing but continued success to all the fellow students and graduates of the LPN (and beyond) programs...

"Ray"

Thanks guys,

I am going to start the day program on Monday. Thanks to Spete for her great advice. It worked. Now I just need to borrow some books for the first few months.

Any body out there can lend me or point in the right direction for a cheap website. I have started brwsing amazon.

Good Luck To Everyone!!!!!!:yeah::yeah:

Survivingn,

I hope that you received encouraging news from UDC. I was just there on Thurs. I'm also looking for a way to finance the program. I truly believe that if there's a will there's a way. I live in Md and the WIA process is 2-3 months. I hope that you'll be starting tomorrow.

Hey congrats survivign. That's cool.

So I started this morning, due to some adjustments I had to switch to the morning program at the last minute. I was sitting in class while typing this message. Survivign I hpe we will introduce each other soon, so we can share this experience togther. I feel so excited and scared for what is to come.

Good luck lifesdream, let's do this.
