UCSD new grad

Has anyone heard back from UCSD after submitting the new grad questionnaire yet? I just want to know if they've already contacted those they're interested in, or if there's still hope. Thanks

anyone heard anything yet?

I haven't heard from them yet...

I emailed the nurse recruiter and she said they won't be in touch with anyone till May or so.

There was over 700 applicants. Totally daunting if you ask me. I live in the bay area and graduated last May 08 and still haven't found a new grad program that was interested in me.

Did you get/do the questionnaire? I got one abut 2 weeks ago, but don't know if everyone gets it or what

Piscesmama.... I'm from the Bay Area as well, and have been applying to hospitals in Southern California because people have been telling me there's more opportunities, but I guess not.

Anyway, what questionnaire are you talking about? I don't remember filling out one except for the online application I did. Perhaps I can't remember or just confused with the hundreds of applications I filled out :banghead:

I was sent a 12 question short answer questionnaire. It asked questions such as what unit you want and why, when you will/have graduate(d), etc. They may not have sent them all out yet if there were 700 applications.

Yes every one should have gotten the questionnaire and if you didn't, don't wait anymore. Call the nurse recruiter and see if it's not too late. They wanted those in very soon after the application was sent in. The questionnaire was sent out so that UCSD could "get to know you better".

any news yet??

I heard back this week and wasn't chosen. Apparently there is only 2 positions for med-surg and

the nurses picked people who did their preceptorship in that unit.

It's daunting this time for us new grads but I believe something will happen!
