UCF Fall 2012

Hi! I just wanted to start a thread for everyone that is applying for UCF's BSN program which will begin this Fall, 2012. I think this would be a great place for everyone to share their concerns, nerves about waiting, or questions. :)

So, how is everyone? Which campus are you applying to?

does the nursing school has an online application or you have to request it by mail as i did.. becuase i didnt find the online app??

On the main BSN page:

http://www.nursing.ucf.edu/academics/BasicBSN.asp

There is a set of links on the side called Additional Resources, and under that there is a link that says request an application. It will take you to another site where you fill out a few quick questions than a prompt will come up saying an application link will be sent to you in a few days. In a few days the nursing link and a password that matches your email address will be sent and this is how you start the UCF nursing application.

well thats what i did so now my next step is to wait :).. thanks a lot. and sorry for so many questions :)

... On the bright side, your wait will be pretty brief. I applied to both the accelerated and traditional programs and each application was sent to me within 2 days or less of my request. :) Don't worry about the questions, I think a lot of us are on the same boat, confused and inpatient!

hello figthers....( i got my application for nursing today.. while i was completing is asking for my [color=#454545]ucf pid.. i dont have that information since my application is going to be submitted today.. ?.. can i leave that in blank.. i dont know my ucf pid yet..

You will need your PID on the app or it will not process you, that is how the system will be able to identify you. Additionally, you have to apply to UCF before you apply to the nursing school... that is how you acquire a PID number. IDK if I am reading your post incorrectly but if you haven't applied to UCF first, you must do that to obtain that PID.

i am doing both applications at the same since you can do that... how long does it take you to have your pid number once you submit your application.?.... for usf i applied yesterday and the sent me my student id number today...

Finally i submitted my application .... Just now i have to wait to get my id number and do the nursing app :) thank you all who helped me

Well, I guess it is time to call up the College of Nursing. I just received an email today saying that I did not meet the minimum eligibility requirements. This has me worried and I have been up all night trying to figure out what I did not meet. I have an overall 4.0 GPA with an 84.0% on the TEAS V. The only class I have left is Statistics/ (2 others that are not nursing pre-reqs), so I do not understand what is going on. I guess it is time to start figuring out plan B.

On which account did they email you? On your personal acct or on your Knights mail? ... I recall last year reading that this happened to other students and when they called the CON, it was just a silly error. Just call and find out what's going on, it could be just a mix up.

I am sorry to hear this, I received an email like that tonight also, and I think I know why. I checked the numbers for pre-req courses and have one mismatch. Luckily I can use another course that matches instead. Have you checked on that? I think UCF would miss out on a student like you, such high numbers you have to offer!

I called UCF today and found out from the advisor that I was denied due to them not receiving my TEAS scores, even though I faxed it and emailed it (with a confirmation that they got it). I resent my TEAS scores and they reinstated my application (as far as I know). I knew it would not be the course numbers because even going through a Florida State school, I submitted an APG form for any courses that did not line up at the beginning of January and I have already received the confirmation.
