I don't know what's involved in taking the NCLEX in another state, but if it were me, I'd take it in your home state. All states have reciprocity, so getting a license in another state would not be a problem at all.
Also, you probably have contacts and networks in your hometown that you won't have in a new place, so it may be harder to find the job you want as a new grad.
Good luck in your last semesters. Take time to enjoy it, 'cause it feels really weird when it's over.
I graduated last month, and it's funny feeling when the underclasses started back this week and I'm not going.

How much experience have you had working as a nurse and where do your interests lie? Is money a factor in your decision or time? For example, Nurse Practitioner interests me but it is a very time consuming profession if you intend to make money in it so perhaps not the best choice for me being a single parent who enjoys spending time with her children. I adore teaching in all aspects so even though the money may (WILL) not be as much, perhaps that is where I will go....also, I am very interested in end stage diseases so that may play a part in my decision. Basically it comes down to what absolutely positively fascinates you while at the same time meets your needs. Good luck!!!
