types of central lines

Can someone explain to me what the difference is between a tunneled and non-tunneled central venous cath. I've looked on line and in my nursing books but not really getting what im looking for. It does seem that tunneled caths are more in demand than the non-tunnel. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
