TWU Spring 2010

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

Hi yeah I'm also applying to TWU for spring 2010 as well as UT houston.I'm taking the NET exam next weekend and the HESI exam next month sometime.I've taken all of the prereqz and only have Lifespan left to take.Yeah I already got into the university and i keep checking on mt pioneer portal to see when the School of Nursing application will be aviable so i can apply but still nothing

hi! It is still pretty early for the application to be up. I called ***** and she said it should be up in Aug. So there is still a looong time to wait.:eek:

I don't think june is early because the deadline in September 1st.August? they should at least give us two months for the application to be up.I think july would be a good time

Yes, I think so too, but for spring entrance they put it up like jan 2, and it was due feb 1. It's really only a couple of questions like what is your HESI score, GPA, email, and address. Basic stuff.

wow thats crazy only a month.Yeah have you taken ur Hesi exam yet? I take mine probably mid next month.

yes, I have taken my HESI, about 2 weeks ago. Not bad. I made a lot of posts about it to help people and give general info about it since others had also posted general info on it. Good luck!!! Buy a study guide for sure!

Hey goopsy...I just took the HESI a2 today...

I was wondering, have you gotten the packet they mail you with the results in it yet?

I know that they give you the score right after wards on the computer...but I was just curious if you got it yet!

Also...when they come up with the composite score...was it just everything averaged together??

Awesome!! I hope you did well! No, I have not gotten the packet yet. I did get an email with very detailed reports on my results. You can even see what types of questions you missed and the avg of everyone who tested that month. Since you took your test in Jun, you will not get that email or packet till Jun testing cycle is over, which is a long wait for sure. The composite score is everything averaged together. :up:

Does anyone know how the chemistry and biology portion was on the HESI A-2? Im taking it this Saturday (13th)! And I am getting nervous! =/

Yah, I understand about doing better. I did good, but no matter how good I seem to do on assignments and tests, I always wish for 2 or 3 more points! haha! I got the email once the month ended, like the 1st of Jun.

The anatomy/physiology was very general; I took A&P I/II very recently and found it pretty easy. The chemistry section had a molar calculation and basic knowledge like: what is an isotope, how many neutrons...etc...
